As a provider, my job is to put myself second (or third, or fourth) each and every appointment.  I am there to service whomever shows up at my door, so I rarely get a chance to find someone who truly pampers me.  More than half of the boys that come in do make a point of asking what I want or enjoy, but they are simply fishing for something to get my motor running more than the average John.  Since this is his time, I try to answer in a way that will make his pulse race.  If he kisses like he’s dirty, I’ll say something dirty.  If he seems to be a little shy and more BFE, I’ll answer something sweet and vanilla.  So sure, I lie.  We all do.

So here’s my real fantasy, for the first time, and documented for all to see on the www.  Without any circumstantial fibbing, this would win me over and make me feel like a princess and keep you at the top of my ATF client list:

1) Show up early.  Book me around 11am and show up on time.

2) Bring something bubbly.  I like the way the bubbles feel down the back of my throat.

3) Insist on giving me a great massage.

4) Tell me that you just want to talk and that you have ED, so even if I tried my hardest, the sex wouldn’t do anything for you, no really…I can keep my panties on.

 5) Rub me until I quietly drift off, then call the agency to extend your session indefinitely.

6) Stroke my head and keep rubbing for the next 7 hours.  We can watch movies and nap and talk, all of that sounds fun to me.

7) Tip big. [or forget your wallet and when I call to tell you, let me keep it]

 It’s not that I don’t like the sex, it’s just that the sex is what happens every time.  Fantasizing about the everyday would make me unimaginative.  Heh.  Someday my prince will come…

When I first discovered the hobby I was under the impression that most girls worked through agencies.  In my mind, resources were limited and circles were small enough and selective enough to mandate some sort of internal order.  Structure meant security and perhaps I watched too much Law and Order, but I always imagined that an official network connected every worker with every man who was seeking service.

Most of the clients I met when I put myself out on the market for the first time were very experienced in this dirty world of ours.  They showed me the ropes, taught me the rules of the game, and exposed me to the special touches that give an average gal that little extra edge that we all strive for.  Surprisingly enough, these men all had one thing in common, they were all quite adamant about only seeing independent girls.

Rumor has it, girls affiliated with most agencies are overworked.  They are often described as pawns in another’s game, so the desires and concerns of the provider are almost always silenced.  Several boys are under the impression that agency girls seem rushed and they let a few poor past experiences shape their opinions on every agency they come in contact with.  The pennies they save are for the experience, and some boys don’t feel comfortable having the provider release a cut to a third party.  I understand and am can empathize with some of their concerns, but I am always quick to voice my own opinion on the matter, so here’s my personal take:

For the first several months, I assumed that indy was the only way to go.  I knew I wasn’t perfect at the screening or schedule maintenance, or even taking care of myself for that matter, but I wasn’t quite convinced that someone else could do a better job.  I started to hate the TCB portion of the biz, and the stress of that often overshadowed my skills or patience BCD.  I felt as though I was on-call 24/7.  Weekly ads required daily updates of emails and PMs.  If I was away from my email or phone for a few hours, I could potentially miss out on the few appointments a week that I would be booking. *

The obsessive checking of emails began to wear me down.  It was exhausting to always be on the go and the wasted energy on stress related to managing my business made my appointments less exciting than what they could and should have been.  I was in my “provider-mode” almost every hour of every day and my personal life was affected in a major way.

I am in this business because I like the interactions.  I love sneaking away and going to where no one knows my story or even my name.  I can wear a mask paired with something soft and skimpy.  I pamper boys and have them pamper me in return.  I can save up for a fun weekend of baseball and beer at a nice hotel, simply by putting on makeup and lounging around in a nice hotel.  The touches, the smells, the surprises and the sex are the things that keep me coming back for more.

I know that my time spent between the sheets is very precious to me, but even more precious is the time spent on my daily life.  You know, the parts that will be around long after I retire from the hobby and push those interactions with strangers far out of my memory.  These are the parts that I truly need the time to focus on and taking care of them allows me to be the best at everything in my life, including what I do while wearing my provider hat.

So how does the agency work into all of this?  Simply outsourcing.  I don’t have the time to screen.  I don’t have the energy to flirt with clients through email.  I certainly don’t have the time to maintain a schedule.

• Am I overworked?  Rarely.  I find myself wishing I had more appointments and never wishing that I have had less. 
• Am I upset about giving someone a cut?  Not at all.  I would never be able to make near as much in one day as I can at the agency.  They have more than twice the resources that I have, so it more than averages out in the long run, especially when I’m only working very part time.  Sure, income fluctuates from week to week, but it does so in indy life as well.
• Do I feel like a cog in a factory?  I might be more reliant on her than she on me, but so far I’ve been quite pleased.
• Do the boys feel rushed?  I would argue that they don’t.  Sure, there isn’t as much time for the romancing beforehand, but the pacing is something that any girl can get down with enough practice.
• Will I ever go indy again?  Perhaps, but only if my real life doesn’t allow me to be reliable enough for an agency’s time table.

So boys, go easy on the agency girls.  Refusing to see them simply out of principle really limits your potential excitement in the hobby.  Bypassing a girl you like because you’re weary about the agency is even more obtuse of a stance, at least from where I’m standing.

The average hobbyist is a tad more selective than what we girls sometimes expect. A good first impression is not the most important aspect of running a profitable indy biz or agency, but it sure does help!  The more discriminating gentlemen do pay close attention to how we present ourselves through ads and most importantly, through our websites.  With dozens of attractive pictures of half naked women on almost every site, you are more likely to stand out with something more than the rest!

From HDHs to mid-level FBSMers, I see dozens of sloppy ads and websites every week. It baffles me that a girl will spend thousands on website design, advertising, photographs, and other marketing musts, but not find a few bucks to have someone edit her website content.

No one will believe that you are sophisticated if you can’t even spell “sophisticated.” At the end of the day, if you claim to be well educated and classy you cannot afford to have misspellings, grammatical errors, and poorly constructed language. If you wish to deal with a intelligent, successful, and upscale client base, you have to be polished in every way possible.

Providers of all levels are constantly expressing their style and personality in ambiguous and sometimes comical ways. A girl wouldn’t post her least flattering pictures, so why doesn’t she take the care and concern to have the best possible web content as well! A more complete and creative written picture of you will allow you to find the most compatible clients, ensuring that your time spent BCD is even more enjoyable.I have been a provider for the past 16 months. I am also a freelance writer with published hobby-related material. A lot of providers seem to stumble into this biz during a dark time: failed romance, failed career, financial or legal crises.  My introduction into the hobby was abrupt and unexpected, but luckily enough, it was during a happy and healthy period of my life.  I never intended my stay to be long term, but for one reason or another, I found myself always sticking around.  I know a few of us perverts had fantasized about the provider transition at various points in our lives, but I would feel safe saying that it’s extremely rare for a provider to actively plan for and aspire to this career.

 Today I got to thinking about a particularly memorable flash in my past that should have alerted me to the fact that this is potentially one aspect of my career. Here is a glimpse into the life of JL before hobby-life.

I frequented one strip club in Boston with a particular fuck-buddy while in college.  He was an attached male that I found through a casual-sex website.  We would hangout for a few hours, fornicate for a few more, then I’d go home and continue on with my life.  One summer night while at the club, I was outside getting my nic-fix when I was approached by a strange man.  Our conversation went something like this:

Creepy Stranger: “Honey, you’re cute”

Wee Jenns: “Oh, umm..thanks.”

CS: “No, I mean you’re real cute.

WJ: “Um, OK.”

CS: “How about you come take a walk with me to my truck and show me just how cute you can be.”

WJ: “WHAT?”

CS: “$50, come on baby girl.”

WJ: with lots of liquid courage“Oh come on!  $50 to go give some parking lot stranger a BJ?  Obviously you aren’t aware of my skills or selectivity.”

CS: “Man, girl….why you all gotta play me like this?”

We shot numbers back and forth a bit.  I managed to push him up to $250 and promptly turned to run back inside.  I certainly wasn’t going to follow him up on his offer, but I was quite curious to know how much I could potentially make in 15-30 minutes. (The strippers had me feeling hot, the liquor was kicking in, and I had already given one BJ that evening, so I was sure that one more couldn’t hurt).  Needless to say, my date wasn’t too thrilled by this story and he escorted me home fairly quickly.

Beyond this hobby, people-watching is a favorite way of mine to kill time.  The more educated I become about life and sex, the more colorful my imagination tends to be.  As long as I remember, my has seemed to run on a single-track, so the tasks that I secretly assign to those I watch is almost always naughty in nature.  Since I started to hobby, not only is everyone I see rushing around on their way to getting laid, but they are hurried because they are en route to the incall.  Every male I come across in the real world is an assumed hobbyist and the sassy females that are somewhat attractive are assumed providers.

I notice others watching me from time to time and I fear that they might be making the same assumptions.  (It certainly doesn’t help that I am paranoid by nature.)  The wink from the middle-aged father at the Marriott when I’m grabbing ice with full hair and makeup.  The 35 yo, 38DD bleach-blonde who notices my large stack of Benjamins at the ATM.  We are all players in a secret game and it is awfully fun to try to pick out your teammates.

 A handful of things turn up my curiosity more than others.  I have decided to create an ever-growing list of everyday items and tasks that hold a different meaning in this world of ours.  (I am always entertaining additions to this list)

•  Plain White Envelopes: An essential item for any hobbyist.  I was touring a swanky condo building downtown, and something in the model unit made me giggle.  In the more masculine-deco unit, the office space had at least 50 of these babies.  I imagined that any bachelor that could afford a spacious $1k/ft2 could easily afford a few dozen sessions. On the same note, any gal that has an excess of envelopes of all varieties is obviously turning tricks.
•  Cash:  Women paying with bills are providers in my mind.  If they are hot and young and the bills are 20 and lower, they are dancers.  Men at the ATM taking cash out are hobbyists.
• Hotel Patrons: I frequented hotels at silly hours before I even knew the hobby existed.  I met men 20 years my senior at the bars and was quickly escorted up to the room and soon left alone with smeared mascara and tasseled hair.  Even so, every single female at a hotel is on the job.  Every man without luggage in hand is there to keep the females in business.  I know my hotel paranoia is a little out of control when I get a bit embarrassed checking-in somewhere when I’m not even on the job.
• Suits at the Riata: In Austin I lived and worked in large apartment complexes.  The majority of my neighbors were fairly young, several of them finishing up time at an area college.  To see a 40 something in a nicely tailored suit was surprising.  When I shared an incall for a few months, at times I’d arrive early and wait for the coast to be clear.  I’d see a gentleman trot downstairs with wet hair and a tie, and I knew the incall was clear.  When it was a good 15-20 minutes until I got the all-clear call on my cell, the mystery of the first gentleman went unsolved.  Because of this, I figured there were at least 3 other incalls in my one building.

Unless you have a very keen spidey sense, too many security devices at the incall, or very obtrusive and fail-proof screening techniques, you never really know who is coming to your door.  Wake yourself up a little early someday and go someplace busy.  Airport, Borders, Wal-Mart.  The trick is to find a very ordinary, family friendly place.  (Neimans or REI won’t work for this exercise.)

 Take a seat and watch.  Look at every man that walks through the door, imagine him naked, never leaving out a single detail.  Imagine his balls smacking your forehead.  Imagine what he might smell like between his thighs.  Even for the most seasoned provider, this exercise isn’t very pleasant, but there are the girls who can complete it and those who cannot.  Take a break and just focus on the hotties when you need a break, then go grab a stiff drink.

Things get tricky as an indie.  You never know when someone will be emailing you, and you never know if that email is for a client wanting an appointment now or 5 weeks from now.  Well, truth be told, only about half of the emails will even be asking for an appointment.  In order to be a charming and sought-after girl, you must be charming and seductive in your emails. 

Furthermore, it is not humanly possible to be horny every single time that you have an appointment.  I know that some women claim to be, but I think they are just ones that haven’t been around long enough. 

 Your task is to find a free porn site and a free erotic site.  Put them on your favorites and look at them several times a day.  With your morning coffee, after your mother calls you on the phone to complain about holiday plans, before you rush out to grab some groceries, and even after you are exhausted from a play-date with your right hand.

Learn to tolerate and somewhat enjoy everything dealing with sex at any point of the day.  Learn to shut down the day to day happenings to make time for another’s desires.

Learn to fake it.  It is imperative that you learn how to fake it.  I know that several women vow to never pretend, but you really have to learn in this line of work.

Several men will hold out until you get your thrills.  The clock will be past time and they will keep repeating that they complete until you do.  If you’re anything like me, this has a 99.8% chance of actually happening.  Now there are 2 possible options.

1) Stop.  Sit back.  Look deep into his eyes and say: Baby, I have trouble completing and it honestly has nothing to do with you (even if it might have everything to do with him).  I know that in a perfect world you could script out this encounter, but you can’t, so you’ll just have to go on without me. (He can continue if he hasn’t completely deflated).

2) Fake it.  You are his fantasy so you need to work your hardest on fulfilling that fantasy.  You need to make the unattractive, overweight, awkward guy feel as though he is your hot date that you can’t resist.  You need to make the older, out of practice gent feel as though he is a young stud that just grabbed you up from the bar.  You need to reassure the egos of the young studs that believe they are sex gods.

In your personal life, swing either way you feel is best on the faking it issue.  I personally stay away from it if I’m doing anything other than a one night stand.  I adhere to it anytime that the job requires it of me.

 Learn how to change your pitch.  Figure out how to make your whole body tremble.  Push, pull…fake the post-finish pulses and you’ll be gold.  Pant at the end, smile a sleepy smile and you’ll be golden.
